A well-established Private Game Reserve in the Western Cape is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Anti-Poaching Unit (APU) member to join our dedicated team. Our ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a robust security background, impeccable credentials, and a passion for wildlife conservation.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar security position.
  • At least 5 years in a management role.
  • Solid security background and relevant certifications.
  • Proficiency with carbine rifle, handgun, and shotgun.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct random day/night patrols across the reserve to ensure the safety of wildlife and guests.
  • Alert top management of any security threats (such as poaching incidents, danger to animals or guests, natural disasters, etc.).
  • Report any suspicious activities or wrongdoings during shifts.
  • Perform daily fence patrols and ensure perimeter security.
  • Implement and adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct nightly patrols around all buildings and vehicles, ensuring gates are securely locked.
  • Provide motivation and training for security staff.
