The President Hotel is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, and we are creating a new opportunity for an Assistant Room Service Manager to join our team.

We are seeking a motivated and guest-focused Assistant Room Service Manager to support the daily operations of the In-Room Dining department. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to ensure seamless service delivery that exceeds guest expectations.

Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in food & beverage or in-room dining operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role

  • Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management or F&B Service advantageous

  • Strong knowledge of room service operations, service etiquette, and quality standards

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for guest service

  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel systems (Opera PMS advantageous)

  • South African citizen with a valid ID

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Room Service Manager in overseeing daily operations of the In-Room Dining department

  • Supervise and motivate room service staff to deliver prompt, professional, and courteous service

  • Ensure orders are prepared and delivered accurately and in line with brand standards

  • Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues efficiently and professionally

  • Monitor staff performance, provide training, and support career development

  • Assist in creating and implementing room service SOPs to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times

  • Collaborate with the Kitchen, F&B, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless coordination of guest orders

  • Manage inventory, supplies, and equipment for in-room dining service
