Assistant Silo Manager – POS25278

Location: Clocolan, Free State

Salary: R40,000 per month

Core Purpose of the Role

To assist the Silo Manager with the efficient operation, financial performance, and administrative management of the silo to ensure profitability and high service standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a grain or silo environment
• Completed Fumigation Course
• Completed Grain Grading Courses
• Proven experience in staff supervision or management
• Experience in budgeting and cost control
• Valid driver’s licence

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English
• Strong administrative and organisational abilities
• Effective leadership and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate with sound working knowledge of relevant systems
• Solid understanding of the agricultural market and business environment
• Strong financial insight and attention to operational detail

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all silo operations to achieve budget and performance targets
• Support the Silo Manager with personnel management and staff development
• Maintain high levels of customer service and client satisfaction
• Ensure adherence to sound financial controls and cost management practices
• Oversee administrative functions related to silo operations and reporting
