Job Title : Multicarrier Operator

Grade : B1

Reports to : Shift Extraction Supervisor

Department : Production

Main purpose of the job

• Coordinates cane movement from table carrier through cane preparation equipments;
• Controls cane loading into the mill for processing at target crush rates in accordance with crushing strategy;
• Monitors cane quality and foreign matter ingress into the process;
• Assist with clearing of chokes as and when they occur;
• Reports equipment and SHE defects to the Supervisor;
• Assists with ‘stop day’ maintenance;
• Carries out housekeeping activities during periods of mill stoppages;
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follows any lawful instruction by supervisor and superiors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric
• At least 1 year relevant experience.

Personal Qualities

• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good work ethic and communication skills.
• Must be able to work shift and overtime upon request
