Solution Owner

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Solution Owner to take accountability for the end-to-end delivery of business solutions and change initiatives within a designated client journey. The successful candidate will act as the bridge between Business and IT, ensuring the successful design, prioritisation, build, implementation, and continuous improvement of solutions across multiple systems, platforms, and channels.

The Solution Owner will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage delivery backlogs, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure that solutions deliver measurable business value while meeting customer, compliance, risk, and operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities

Solution Delivery & Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle of business solutions and enhancements.
  • Lead the implementation of new features, capabilities, and business initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, customer needs, and technology delivery.
  • Drive solution design, prototyping, testing, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Monitor solution performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business, technology, operations, risk, compliance, and customer experience stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration between feature teams, leadership, and operational teams.
  • Provide regular updates on delivery progress, risks, issues, and key decisions.
  • Present recommendations and status reports to governance and leadership forums.

Backlog & Delivery Management

  • Manage and prioritise solution backlogs in alignment with business priorities.
  • Develop and maintain delivery roadmaps and implementation plans.
  • Ensure effective management of dependencies, risks, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple delivery teams and workstreams.

Business & Technology Alignment

  • Translate business requirements into clear solution outcomes.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, and Testing teams.
  • Ensure solution requirements are understood, documented, and delivered successfully.
  • Support integration across multiple systems, channels, and platforms.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure solutions comply with governance frameworks, operational standards, risk controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit, compliance, and risk management activities where applicable.
  • Ensure customer outcomes remain at the centre of solution delivery.

Change & Adoption

  • Support business readiness, training, communication, and change management activities.
  • Drive user adoption and successful transition into operational environments.
  • Ensure seamless implementation with minimal business disruption.

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Solution Delivery, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Project Management, or Technology Delivery roles.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end delivery of business and technology solutions.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing delivery backlogs, roadmaps, and prioritisation activities.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and change management principles.
  • Experience working across business and technology teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or large enterprise experience.
  • Experience within customer journey ownership, digital transformation, or platform delivery environments.
  • Exposure to Product Management, Product Ownership, or Customer Experience initiatives.
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture, systems integration, and digital platforms.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar delivery tools.
  • Agile, Scrum, SAFe, PMP, Prince2, or related certifications advantageous.
