Job Title:  Human Capital Operations Executive

Reports To:  Head of Human Capital

 

The Human Capital Operations Executive is responsible for driving operational excellence, workforce analytics, and governance across the employee lifecycle to enable business performance and strategic workforce outcomes. This role leads the delivery of integrated, technology-enabled HC services that ensure compliance, data integrity, and alignment to Group reward and workforce strategies. Acting as a key business partner to the in-country HC leadership and Group Reward, the incumbent ensures that people operations are efficient, compliant, and scalable to meet evolving business demands.

 

Key Responsibilities

HC Operations & Service Delivery

 

• Lead the in-country Shared Services team responsible for Payroll, Master Data, and Time & Attendance (T&A), ensuring efficient, compliant, and responsive service delivery.

• Lead the delivery of streamlined and high-quality HC transactional services, including employee onboarding, exits, contracts, changes, and personal data updates.

• Design, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end HC processes using best practice frameworks and lean methodologies.

• Build and manage an HC operations team with a focus on service excellence, accuracy, and responsiveness to employee and line manager needs.

• Introduce and maintain self-service capabilities and digital tools to improve user experience and reduce manual interventions.

• Partner with organisational Excellence Team to create job description, evaluate roles, review and update organisational structures in SSF;

• Maintain accurate organisational structures;

• Ensure the timely resolution of HC service queries and escalations through effective ticketing systems and service level agreements (SLAs).

 

Reward Management

 

• Oversee the delivery of country-specific reward programmes including annual salary reviews, variable pay schemes, and benefit offerings in alignment with Group Reward frameworks.

• Ensure market competitiveness by leading and participating in local compensation benchmarking studies and aligning internal pay structures accordingly.

• Support Group Reward team in the design and roll-out of reward policies, pay structures, and incentive mechanisms that attract, retain, and motivate key talent.

• Provide expert advice to HC business partners and line managers on compensation decisions, ensuring alignment with internal equity and external market practices.

• Partner with in-market finance, and legal teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reward implementation.

• Lead the job evaluation process in-country, ensuring roles are assessed consistently across the group and in relation to other sites and aligned with internal frameworks and external benchmarks.

 

People Data & Reporting

 

• Maintain ownership of master HC data and ensure its integrity across all platforms through regular self-audits, validations, and exception reporting.

• Ensure timely delivery of HC reports and insights for internal governance forums (e.g., Exco, OpCo) and external compliance requirements (e.g., ESG, Integrated Annual Report).

• Collaborate with the Business Intelligence (BI) function to enhance data automation, forecasting, and modelling capabilities.

 

People Planning & Compliance

 

• Coordinate and support the execution of the annual people planning cycle—including employee engagement plans, talent reviews, and skills development strategies.

• Consolidate data and track progress of people-related initiatives across departments and business units to ensure accountability and alignment with strategic workforce goals.

• Facilitate alignment between HC operations, business leaders, and Capability/Talent specialists to ensure strategic plans are implemented effectively at operational levels.

 

Governance, Audit & Risk

 

• Maintain ownership of master HC data and ensure its integrity across all platforms through regular self-audits, validations, and exception reporting.

• Ensure timely delivery of HC reports and insights for internal governance forums (e.g., Exco, OpCo) and external compliance requirements (e.g., ESG, Integrated Annual Report).

• Collaborate with the Business Intelligence (BI) function to enhance data automation, forecasting, and modelling capabilities.

 

 

Vendor & Systems Management

 

• Oversee relationships with external vendors providing HC systems, benchmarking data, or benefit services, ensuring service-level compliance and cost-effectiveness.

• Partner with Group and IT functions to drive the implementation and optimization of HR technology systems (e.g., HRIS, payroll platforms, analytics tools).

• Ensure systems are integrated, secure, and user-friendly, and that staff are trained to leverage system capabilities effectively.

• Drive end-user training, change management, and user adoption strategies to ensure successful implementation and sustained use of HC systems and tools.

 

Financial Parameters

 

• Total people headcount against budget.

• Shared accountability for optimizing and ensuring efficiency in all payroll costs across the in-country business.

• On time and in line with budget delivery of projects.

 

 

 Experience & Behavioural Competencies Required

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field

• 7–10 years’ relevant experience in HR operations and reward, ideally in a shared services environment.

• Proven experience leading HC systems, data analytics, and project delivery.

• HCIS / HR systems implementation and optimization.

• Data analysis and dashboard reporting (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

• Reward governance and benchmarking.

• Labour legislation and compliance frameworks.

• Strong organisational and decision-making skills.

• Stakeholder management across matrixed structures.

• Customer-oriented mindset with a bias for continuous improvement.

• High resilience, self-motivation, and integrity.
