Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hatchery Manager to oversee the daily operations of their hatchery facility in Mafikeng. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal hatchability, chick quality, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate all hatchery operations including egg setting, incubation, hatching, and chick delivery.

  • Monitor hatchery performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

  • Ensure compliance with biosecurity and health regulations.

  • Supervise hatchery staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.

  • Maintain accurate records related to hatchery processes and production statistics.

  • Coordinate with other departments such as breeding farms and logistics to ensure smooth operations.

  • Manage hatchery inventory including eggs, vaccines, and equipment.

  • Conduct regular quality checks and address any issues promptly.

  • Prepare and submit reports to senior management on hatchery performance and challenges.

  • Sound knowledge of hatchery systems and equipment.

  • Computer literacy, including MS Office and hatchery management systems.
