Our client is looking for a book keeper for their Restaurant. The Restaurant Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the financial stability of a restaurant. They play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the restaurant's operations, helping the business make informed financial decisions.
Responsibilities:

Maintain detailed and organized financial records for the restaurant, including income, expenses, and transactions.

Manage accounts payable by processing invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring bills are paid on time. Handle accounts receivable by invoicing customers and tracking payments.

Collaborate with restaurant management to create and monitor budgets. Provide financial forecasts and insights to assist in decision-making.

Regularly reconcile bank statements with restaurant financial records to ensure accuracy.

Calculate and process payroll for restaurant employees, including deductions and tax withholdings.

Prepare and file various tax returns, such as sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, areas for cost reduction, and opportunities for revenue growth.

Track and manage inventory levels, cost of goods sold (COGS), and assess inventory turnover rates.

Generate and present financial reports to restaurant management and stakeholders, summarizing the restaurant's financial performance.
