ROLE OVERVIEW

This role defines how &Beyond shows up through content. It is both the strategic and creative content engine of the team, responsible for shaping storytelling direction and producing original multimedia content that reflects the depth and distinctiveness of the brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Contribute to the Brand Creative committee in developing creative direction for campaigns and key brand moments
  • Translate campaign narratives into content and distribution plans per campaign
  • Implement the following components of the content and distribution plans
  • Create original video, photographic and graphic content and/or refine existing content for distribution on social media and YouTube
  • Regular review and optimisation of the social media strategy
  • Participate in monthly Influencer committee responsible for the co-development and oversight of the influencer strategy and coordinate influencer content collaborations with Social Media Specialist and PR
  • Oversee the user generated content strategy including WILDwatch sightings
  • Editorial article generation (Bateleur Magazine & WILDwatch) as per campaign requirements
  • Travel to capture content in-region where required
  • Guide and mentor social media champions, guides and travel specialists on content creation including input on Inkwazi training
  • Collaborate with brand team, social media specialist and social media champions to curate quality content for lodge accounts
  • Bring relevant platform and content trends to the marketing team 
  • Continuously evolve formats and approaches to remain fresh and engaging
  • Support Wild Impact in content creation and strategy for collaborative impact campaigns

  • Volume and consistency of original content produced
  • Engagement and performance of created content
  • Brand alignment and storytelling quality
  • Strength and consistency of content pipeline

KEY HANDOVER POINTS:

  • Delivers final creative assets and intent to Content Operations Coordinator & Social Media Specialist
  • Provides light-touch creative guidance to Social Media Specialist and champions
  • Reports into Head of Content & Editorial

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • A strong storyteller with a visual eye - solid photographic and short video production portfolio
  • Highly self-driven and proactive
  • Comfortable working in the field and capturing content
  • Deep understanding of brand and audience
  • Able to balance creative instinct with strategic thinking
  • Previous work experience at lodges in remote areas is preferred
