Key Roles & Responsibilities
Business Development
-
Build and maintain strategic client relationships.

Support business growth by marketing water engineering capabilities.

Provide specialist technical advisory services to clients.

Contribute to tender preparation and multidisciplinary bids.
Project Delivery
-
Lead and manage water sector projects from concept to completion.
-
Provide specialist technical direction and quality control.
-
Prepare and review designs, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
-
Oversee procurement, contractor appointment, and site handover.
-
Manage commercial and technical execution of projects.
-
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Implement cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.

Conduct technical design reviews.
Project Governance, Quality & Safety

Ensure compliance with company procedures and risk management processes.

Maintain auditable project documentation aligned with Quality Management Systems.

Uphold Health & Safety standards in office and construction environments.
Leadership & Mentorship

Provide technical leadership and supervision to project teams.

Mentor and develop Engineers, Technologists, and Technicians.

Education & Qualifications
-
B.Eng, B.Tech, National Diploma, or National Higher Diploma in Engineering.

Professional Registration (e.g., Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng or equivalent).

Ongoing commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
Experience
-
Minimum 12 years of engineering experience.
-
At least 5 years post-professional registration experience.
-
Proven experience on large-scale and/or multidisciplinary projects.
-
Experience in both technical leadership and commercial project management.
Knowledge

Specialist knowledge of water and sanitation engineering principles.
-
Strong understanding of applicable local and international standards.
-
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements.

Working knowledge of related engineering disciplines.

Understanding of contract administration and procurement processes.
