Our client is looking for a Workshop Manager to join their team. The right candidate will have in-depth experience in the operation and repair of John Deere combines, sprayers, tractors and related equipment. Auto steer knowledge and other software skills will be a huge advantage.
Responsibilities:

Arranging and implementing detailed daily work plans.
-
Administering maintenance schedules of the fleet.
-
Acknowledging and implementing priority/duty of tasks.
-
Applying management & safety measures and procedures.
-
Coordinate with foremen/drivers/operators and ability to conduct daily progress meetings.
-
Coordinate the service and maintenance of vehicles as per service schedules.
-
Oversee general maintenance in the workshop daily and ensure that the workshop is clean at the end of each day.

Oversee set up and operations of combines/sprayers/tractors/planters and various implements.
-
When required, oversee the overhaul of major units.
-
Have a detailed knowledge of ongoing projects and incidents.

Manage and ensure an efficient response to breakdowns and emergency responses.

Manage all the tasking & maintenance work scheduling.
-
Ensuring all workshop staff are trained and compliant with Health & Safety, other operational procedures and training requirements.

Reporting to the General Manager daily.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the agricultural sector.

Demonstrated technical expertise in workshop operations, maintenance, and repair.

Previous experience in supervising and managing staff.
-
Familiarity with agricultural machinery and equipment is an advantage.

Valid driver's license.
