Our client, a leading importer of petroleum products is looking for a skilled and experienced Accounting and Finance professional to join their team and oversee financial activities related to the importation of petroleum products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience in the petroleum industry, and a proactive approach to financial management.
Responsibilities:

Manage the accounting and financial reporting for petroleum import transactions.

Monitor and reconcile import-related accounts, including payments, receivables, and payables.

Coordinate with suppliers, shipping companies, and customs agencies to ensure smooth importation processes.

Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts related to petroleum imports.

Conduct cost analysis and financial modeling to optimize importation strategies and pricing.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for petroleum imports.

Collaborate with internal teams, such as procurement and logistics, to streamline import operations and minimize costs.

Perform periodic audits and financial reviews to identify areas for improvement and risk mitigation.

Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making related to importation strategies and investments.

Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting petroleum imports.
