Our client is looking for a Commercial Support Specialist to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage ad-hoc rate requests, including requesting buying rates from shipping lines as needed.
- Request and capture monthly buying rates, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Request monthly BAF (Bunker Adjustment Factor) updates.
- Update both internally and externally on BAF and Period changes for nominated vessels.
- Inform the selling team of any ad-hoc and monthly rate changes or surcharges.
- Keep other departments within the company informed of any important rate-related issues or scenarios.
- Request, capture, and manage carrier haulage rates.
- Request, capture, and manage shipping line destination charges as needed.
- Process shipping line invoices, verifying them against received quotes.
- Process cold store invoices received.
- Update relevant changes and notices in the system as received from the industry.
- Treat all information as confidential.

Qualifications:
- Grade 12 (Essential).
- Diploma in Shipping, Clearing and Freight Forwarding, Distribution and Logistics Business Management, or related field (Desirable).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics
