Operations Project Engineer

Reports To

Job Purpose
The Project Engineer is responsible for technical design of techncial solutions, and planning, executing, and delivering projects for such solutions where approved, on time and within budget. The role forms an integral part of the Operations Project team where co-ordinated design and project execution is required to deliver holistic and effective infrastructure solutions to the business.

Key Responsibilities


Provide technical leadership for projects design and scoping within the business through developing and maintaining technical standards and best practices in technology selection, integration and execution and leadership of projects.
Lead and manage technical aspects of projects from concept to completion.
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including third-party suppliers and experts, procurement and operations.
Ensure compliance with best-practice engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies.



Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues.
Support commissioning and handover activities.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in [discipline]


Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechcanical/ Electrical/ Industrial /Mechantronics . Project Management training or professional registration (e.g., PMP®) is an advantage.
Experience:
5 years’ or more experience in [discipline] technical leadership, including project management or technical project execution, preferably in a beverage, food or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods manufacturing environment. Proven track record of delivering technical projects in industrial or infrastructure environments.


Knowledge & Skills:
Strong technical competency in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics) , including functional principles, design requirements and technology knowledge.
Project management and organisational skills.
Familiar with engineering and project software (AutoCAD, MS Project).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations

Working Conditions
