Role Purpose

We are seeking a delivery-focused Senior IT Project Coordinator to support the successful execution and delivery of strategic technology and business transformation initiatives. Working closely with the Project Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate project activities, manage stakeholder engagement, monitor project progress, and ensure adherence to governance and delivery standards.

The role requires a highly organised individual with strong planning, coordination, and communication skills who can effectively operate within a fast-paced Agile and hybrid delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Coordination

  • Support the Project Manager in the execution and delivery of project objectives.

  • Coordinate project activities across multiple teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

  • Monitor project progress against approved timelines and milestones.

  • Track project dependencies and ensure alignment across workstreams.

  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and blockers proactively.

  • Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and status update sessions.

  • Ensure project deliverables are completed according to agreed schedules.

Planning & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans using Microsoft Project.

  • Monitor critical paths, milestones, and project dependencies.

  • Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.

  • Track project actions and decisions to ensure timely closure.

  • Support resource planning and scheduling activities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders across business and technology functions.

  • Facilitate communication between project teams and key stakeholders.

  • Escalate project risks and issues where appropriate.

  • Support alignment and collaboration across multiple delivery teams.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks and standards.

  • Maintain project documentation, RAID logs, meeting minutes, and project artefacts.

  • Support project audits, reviews, and governance forums.

  • Assist with reporting requirements for steering committees and project boards.

Technical Delivery Support

  • Develop a high-level understanding of technical solutions and environments.

  • Work closely with technical teams to understand delivery impacts and dependencies.

  • Translate technical updates into project delivery plans and reporting.

  • Support coordination across development, testing, infrastructure, and business teams.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Relevant Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, Project Management, or related field.

  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM) advantageous.

  • Agile or Scrum certification advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Project Coordination, PMO, Project Administration, or Junior Project Management roles.

  • Proven experience supporting IT, digital transformation, or business change projects.

  • Minimum 3 years' practical experience using Microsoft Project.

  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery environments.

  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, and project teams.

  • Exposure to project governance, reporting, and risk management practices.
