Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join their team in the food production industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular cost reports for management.
  • Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documentation, and records.
  • Perform cost accumulation tasks and apply cost accounting techniques to capture all costs of production.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual costs and standard costs, identifying the reasons for variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into cost trends.
  • Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
  • Monitor and report on key cost drivers, providing recommendations for cost control and reduction.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports related to production costs.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma/B. Tech in Cost Accounting or Management Accounting is essential.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably within the food production or manufacturing industry.
  • Professional certification is an advantage but not required.
