Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Wheel Alignment Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of truck and trailer suspension systems, experience using Haweka alignment machines, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform wheel alignments on trucks and trailers, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Utilize Haweka alignment machines to diagnose and rectify alignment issues.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of air and mechanical suspension systems for brands like Volvo, Afrit trailers, SAF Holland, and SA Truck bodies.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of suspension components, identifying and potentially replacing worn or damaged parts.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment function properly.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding alignment results and recommendations.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in truck and trailer wheel alignment.
  • In-depth knowledge of suspension systems, particularly for Volvo, Afrit trailers, SAF Holland, and SA Truck bodies (both air and mechanical).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and address suspension component wear and tear.
  • Proficiency in operating Haweka alignment machines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to the client's depot located in Alrode.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Laptop literacy with proficiency in email and spreadsheet applications (MS Office preferred).
