Our client is looking for a qualified Truck/Diesel Mechanic with experience on Volvo trucks and the ability to work with the Volvo diagnostic laptop.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Volvo trucks using the Volvo diagnostic laptop.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on trucks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues on Volvo trucks.
• Perform engine overhauls, transmission repairs, brake system repairs, and other complex mechanical tasks.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with other technicians and staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
• Provide technical advice and support to clients and colleagues as needed.
• Stay updated with the latest Volvo truck technologies and repair techniques.

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing Volvo trucks.
• Strong understanding of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Competence in using diagnostic tools, especially the Volvo diagnostic laptop is essential.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Experience with the Volvo diagnostic laptop and related software is essential.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to automotive repair.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• Certified Diesel Mechanic with a recognised qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working on Volvo trucks.
