Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer: Energy. To development of the Energy Services and Management Technical expertise for the company. Technical Support on Energy Services and Management related projects for Project Services (Capital Project) and On Site Services (plant operation) departments, including process troubleshooting and optimization. Engineering Studies and Audits.

Responsibilities:

• Engineering design development based on the companies design guidelines and good engineering practice, providing cost-effective solutions whilst ensuring technical compliance with client requirements

• Represent the company during technical and commercial meetings with potential customers, vendors and subcontractors

• Support to Business Development on technical presentations to and/or meetings with potential or existing clients

• Providing inputs into and approval of discipline specific designs produced by engineers in the Project Services department.

• Preparation of conceptual engineering design deliverables for tenders and studies, for example Process Design Basis document, Process Description and Process Flow Diagrams etc.

• Participating in HAZOP/HAZAN studies, value engineering exercises and design reviews if required.

• To mentor engineers via guidance and knowledge transfer in a team work environment.

• Preparing designs and technical proposals for engineering studies and industrial tenders.

• Conducting plant audits and provide expertise for troubleshooting and operations optimisation on the companies contracts

• Interacting with mechanical, draughting, civil, electrical and control systems engineering disciplines on engineering studies and tenders.

• Keep up to date with latest technologies, design tools & guidelines and developments inside the Companies Group, in the Energy Management field and from local / international suppliers

• Writing of technical reports

• Ensure health and safety legislation and contractual obligations pertaining to health & safety are adhered to throughout the project.

• Read and understand the latest ISO9001 manual for the procedures pertaining to the Tendering, Engineering and Projects Division.

• Liaise with clients, suppliers, consultants and contractors on technical and commercial aspects

• Interacts with partners and other companies in the group

• Produce presentations and/or represent the company at trade fairs and seminars.

• Attend all training seminars pertaining to this position.

• Perform any other duties required by the Technical Manager

• Five to seven years experience as a Design, Industrial or Production Engineer

• A specific focus on Utilities (Boilers, Cooling Towers, Chillers etc) and implementation of general Energy Saving Measures.

• A good understanding of Waste to Energy Technologies (Anaerobic Digestion, CHP, Incineration etc), Solar Power Plants and other decarbonisation initiatives will be beneficial.

• ECSA Registration as a Professional Engineer would be an advantage

• Computer Literacy (MS Office, MS Projects)

Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Process, Mechanical/Mechatronic, Industrial Engineering or

• similar relevant qualification.
