Our client is looking for a dynamic and driven Area Sales Manager to join their team. This role involves overseeing sales operations across a designated territory, ensuring that sales targets are met, and developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, particularly within the manufacturing and production industry, and be passionate about delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by actively seeking out and engaging potential clients within the manufacturing and production sector.
  • Provide in-depth product knowledge and technical support to customers, offering tailored solutions that meet their specific production needs.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product development and technical support, to align sales strategies with business objectives.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
  • Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing support and development.

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the manufacturing and production industry.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industry standards is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales management role, preferably within the manufacturing or production industry.
