Our client is seeking an experienced Veterinarian with a focus on the care and medical treatment of big cats within a sanctuary environment. The role involves ensuring the health, well-being, and proper management of big cats, providing them with the highest standards of veterinary care.

Responsibilities:

  • Veterinary Care and Treatment:
  • Provide comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis and treatment, tailored to the specific needs of big cats.
  • Develop and implement health care plans, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and preventative care.
  • Monitor the health and behavior of big cats, responding promptly to any signs of illness or distress.
  • Perform necessary medical procedures and treatments to maintain and improve the health of the animals.
  • Health Management and Record Keeping:
  • Maintain detailed medical records for each big cat, documenting all treatments and health outcomes.
  • Implement health monitoring programs, including regular health assessments and disease prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with sanctuary staff to ensure comprehensive care and the well-being of the big cats.
  • Manage veterinary supplies and equipment to ensure all necessary resources are available for the care of big cats.
  • Welfare and Ethical Considerations:
