Our client is looking for a Senior Merchandiser to join their team in the Fashion & Footwear department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Brand Manager with planning and executing product and assortment strategies that meet or exceed financial goals. This role requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage merchandise allocation, financial planning, and in-season projections while ensuring optimal product assortment and stock levels across all stores.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of merchandise plans based on category insights, historical trends, and future outlooks.
- Analyze store profiles, including stock levels, sales blend, and inventory by store grade.
- Ensure effective in-season management, including stock analysis, balancing, markdown management, and stock vs. sales performance.
- Plan and execute merchandise mix for each store, including initial product allocation and reserve management.
- Collaborate with the Brand Manager to finalize seasonal assortment plans and size run books.
- Monitor product line pricing and track competitor brand developments.
- Ensure adherence to ageing standards and maintain stock turns as per company policy.
- Manage margin negotiations, orders, stock distribution, and product selection.
- Analyze sales data to identify best-sellers and slow-movers, taking appropriate actions to optimize inventory.
- Conduct regular store visits and competitor analysis, providing feedback and recommendations to the Brand Manager.
- Address store replenishment needs on a day-to-day basis, ensuring optimal stock levels.
