Our client is looking for a Senior IT Solutions Architect/Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Architectural and Infrastructure Design: Develop and design comprehensive IT solutions that integrate on-premises and cloud-based systems, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Project Management, Implementation, and Deployment: Lead and manage large-scale IT projects from conception through implementation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and IT staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Technology and System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of various systems, including on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, optimizing performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Security Management: Implement and manage security best practices, including identity and access management, to protect sensitive data and systems.
• Maintenance and Support: Oversee the maintenance and support of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and security systems.
• Performance Optimization and Monitoring: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of IT systems, implementing improvements as needed.
• Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architecture design and implementation processes.
• Security Governance & Compliance: Ensure that all solutions adhere to industry standards and best practices for security governance and compliance.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure the organization receives the best possible service and support.

Key Skills:

• Extensive experience with on-premises Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory and Windows Server.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies such as vSphere and vCenter.
• Proven expertise in designing and managing solutions on AWS and Azure, including services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and Azure Active Directory.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.
• Experience with implementing and managing security best practices in both on-premises and cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements.
• Strategic Vision: Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on long-term business goals.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior solutions architect role.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and MCSE/CCNA.
