KEY OUTPUTS:
- Prepare welcome and departure notes for guests as well as personalized special notes
- Check guests in during the day and manage dietaries, or any other special requests ensuring that all relevant departures are informed.
- Meet all guests, check-ins, check outs, hosting guests and site-inspections
- Ensure all information received from guests is shared with the relevant department using this information to elevate their experience.
- Ensuring all organizational requirements around delivering an andBeyond guest experience at Ngala Safari Lodge is planned for and executed on a daily basis
- Ensure our brand standards are always maintained in all areas that make up the guest experience
- Represent the andBeyond brand in appearance and behaviour
- Create an environment where the andBeyond culture & DNA is fostered
- Innovate new ideas and ways to edge the brand and improve
- Guest Delight- Both in the bush and at the lodge. To be able to plan, action and create guest delights. Innovation in creating new guest delight experiences
- Create personalised touchpoints for each guest and plan their stay to ensure an exceptional personalised experience is created for each guest
- Check set ups for breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner and host meals ensuring smooth running of service from the kitchen, Butler and Bar teams
- Review guests scores and develop creative solutions to address any negative feedback received to ensure the same mistakes aren’t repeated
- Ensure all guest areas are always tidy and styled to the BOPs
- Work closely with Butlers, Operations Manager and Lodge Manager to maintain a high service standard always elevating and exceeding the guest experience
- Willingness to assist the Lodge Manager, Operations Manager and Hospitality Manager with monthly stock takes and any stock orders that need to be placed
- Assisting with general administrative work, including guest bills, daysheets and gratuities
- Assisting with general management of stock control and ensuring stock is issued correctly
- Keep open communication with all departments and allow information to run through freely
- Assist Hospitality Manager and Operations Manager with lodge operations when they are on leave
- Checking arrival rooms and ensuring it is up to standard before guests arrive
- Assist with the Safari Shop when required
- Developing and enhancing the Wild Child programme
- Assist with training ensuring you are on top of new trends and sharing learnings

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (QUALIFICATIONS OR TRAINING PROGRAMS):
- At least 1 year’s relevant experience in a 5-star operation
- Experience in a similar role within the andBeyond group beneficial
- Managerial experience key
- Company knowledge (andBeyond and Wild Impact)
- Valid unendorsed SA driver’s license essential
- Knowledge of the surrounding communities
- PANstrat Knowledge beneficial
- MS office knowledge essential
- Ability to host a diverse range of alternative experiences and activities beyond the current offerings, such as fitness classes, archery, cooking lessons, crocheting, and art workshops beneficial

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Experience in the service industry especially in dealing with guests and staff
- Experience in a 5-star establishment is advantageous
