Warehouse Stock Assistant

Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Stock Assistant to join our team in the telecommunications industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and managing inventory of BitCo Telecom's equipment and components, ensuring accurate stock levels and supporting the smooth operation of warehouse logistics. This role requires strong organisational skills, physical dexterity, and basic knowledge of inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record stock items such as routers, fibre equipment, cables, modems, and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate stock records on the system.
  • Issue stock to technicians and other departments as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage, labelling, and tracking of inventory.
  • Conduct regular stock counts, reconciliations, and variance reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring minimum stock levels and raising requisitions for replenishment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the storeroom/warehouse.
  • Support the logistics and procurement teams with day-to-day requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in stock control, warehousing, or logistics (experience in the ICT/telecoms environment is advantageous).
  • Basic computer literacy (proficiency in MS Office; experience with stock management/ERP systems preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and organisational skills.
  • Physical ability to handle stock items.
