Our client is looking for a highly skilled and strategic Africa Sourcing Specialist to manage the procurement of Capex, MRO, Spares, Utilities, and Technical Services across multiple countries in Africa. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sourcing and procurement, with the ability to drive cost savings, optimize processes, and manage supplier relationships on a large scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the procurement of Capex, MRO, Spares, Utilities, and Technical Services across various operations in Africa.
  • Manage a total spend scope of approximately $100 million per annum, consolidating group orders for better pricing and negotiation.
  • Lead the process for Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and Requests for Proposal (RFPs), ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and recommend optimization strategies for procurement processes.
  • Conduct quarterly reviews of supplier performance, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations division to identify new suppliers and gather feedback on supplier performance.
  • Develop and track supply chain effectiveness metrics, providing regular reports on procurement performance.

  • Experience in the Food FMCG or similar industry is preferred.
  • Proven experience in implementing end-to-end procurement strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of business experience, with a minimum of 2 years in sourcing across multiple countries.
