A well-established Game Reserve in the Western Cape requires the skills of a Reserve Manager.

Reserve Duties:

  • Darting and medicating wild animals
  • Maintenance of fences -checking integrity of fences
  • Maintenance of roads
  • Ensure fences are cleared for fire control
  • Ensure electric fences are clear of obstruction
  • Vehicle maintenance
  • Animal counts and stocking capacities
  • Animal well being
  • Animal feeding and sourcing of food
  • Horse care and feeding
  • Farming experience
  • ADHOC Duties in the Anti-Poaching Unit
  • Manage and train rangers
  • Game Capture – passive and chemical

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Matric / Grade 12 certificate. Higher qualifications will be an advantage.
3 Years Game Farm & Reserve management experience.
Diploma in Wildlife conservation and Farm management would be an advantage.
Trained and Qualified Field Guide for Western Cape National Parks is an Advantage

Valid code 8 driver’s license, Professional Driving Permit and own transport.
