Our client is looking for a skilled RF Technician to join their team in the Testing Department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in performing and documenting a variety of tests, including electrical, environmental stress screening, and advanced final acceptance tests on antenna sub-assemblies and systems. This position requires a hands-on technician with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform inline electrical testing of antenna sub-assemblies such as cables, PCBs, and switches during production.
  • Sign off on assembly instructions for performed electrical tests.
  • Accurately record and document test results.
  • Set-up and conduct environmental stress screening tests as per Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP).
  • Conduct advanced final acceptance tests on antenna systems and document the results.
  • Identify and troubleshoot problems with antenna builds or designs, both electronic and mechanical.
  • Analyze and record recurring build problems and suggest potential root causes.
  • Perform product repairs and reworks on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Assist R&D engineers with prototype testing.
  • Maintain test equipment including tools, platforms, and jigs.
  • Support automated testing developments and propose process improvements.
  • Participate in planning, implementing, and continuously improving test programs and equipment.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
  • Adhere to company QA procedures and standards.

Key Skills:

  • Proficient in using test equipment such as vector network analyzers, LCR meters, and multi-meters.
  • Fine-pitch soldering skills are an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently with high levels of responsibility.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good planning, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Initiative to acquire new skills as needed.
  • Flexibility and strong interpersonal skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a production and testing environment, with experience in radio frequency environments being advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word (Intermediate level).
  • Language proficiency in English.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a National Diploma (N. Dip) in a relevant field.
  • B. Eng or B. Tech is preferred.
