Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Antenna Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of antenna systems. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their design requirements and collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure that all specifications are met. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in antenna design and RF electronics, coupled with strong problem-solving skills and creativity in addressing technical challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical projects and assume responsibility for all technical elements to ensure successful project completion.
  • Collaborate with the project management team to meet project goals, making final decisions on high-level engineering issues.
  • Develop and design various types of antennas, including conceptual designs, prototype development, and testing.
  • Design RF circuits, such as filters, switches, and amplifiers, ensuring detailed documentation and testing of RF designs.
  • Create and maintain technical reports, product specifications, manuals, and testing procedures.
  • Conduct testing and qualification of RF designs.
  • Engage with clients to address technical issues, providing technical training and support.
  • Participate in client visits to resolve specific technical needs.

Key Skills:

  • Expert-level proficiency in MS Office, MATLAB, and 3D CEM tools (e.g., FEKO or similar).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and lead projects effectively.
  • High levels of initiative, accountability, and self-motivation.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours when required by project deadlines.
  • At least 8 years of experience in designing a broad range of antenna types and associated RF circuits, particularly in the 1 MHz to 9 GHz frequency range.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience with QUCS is advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum BEng Hons (Electronic Engineering) is required.
  • A Master's or PhD in Engineering (Electronic) is preferred.
