Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced QA Pharmacist to join their team at a manufacturing site. The role is office-bound, and the company operates 100% on-site without flexi hours or hybrid working arrangements. Exposure to the cosmetics industry will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 22716 across all company processes.
  • Conduct investigations to identify root causes of non-conformance and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate non-conformance meetings to ensure timely completion of actions.
  • Conduct annual Quality Management System (QMS) reviews as per ISO standards.
  • Perform internal and supplier audits, and collaborate with managers or suppliers to resolve audit findings.
  • Manage customer complaints and oversee the satisfaction survey process for distributors.
  • Handle all aspects of the Change Control process, escalating issues when necessary, and chair Change Control meetings.
  • Ensure batch release of products (e.g., supplements) in line with established procedures.
  • Conduct monthly hygiene feedback meetings and manage deviations where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice).
  • Provide monthly or quarterly reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in production and quality assurance at a manufacturing site.
  • Strong understanding of PICS, SAHPRA, ISO 9001, and 22716 requirements.
  • Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a QA Pharmacist in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council.
