Your mission: Do maintenance and repairs on Grape Harvesters and Viti Equipment.

Job Description, Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Performing routine servicing, maintenance, full machine overhauls and technical repairs on and off site
  • Fault diagnostics and trouble-shooting of mechanical, hydraulic, electronic systems - technical knowledge and computer based diagnostics
  • Ensuring compliance with OHS requirements
  • Seasonal travel will be required and some weekend work (Grape harvest season generally January to April being the busiest times)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow with the team
  • Heavy focus on customer communications and satisfaction 
  • Computer work/reporting required
  • Providing technical advice and assistance to our agent network in South Africa

This role requires a dedicated person, it can also be extremely rewarding, where the more you put in the more you will get out of it. A great opportunity to meet some very unique customers and other stakeholders within the industry.

Full service vehicle, laptop and phone provided.

A yearly technical training will be given in France at our factory or at our South African Factory. Opportunities will be given to travel to other company branches in the World (America, Australia etc…).

To be successful in this role the applicant must have a minimum of two years working experience on Grape Harvesters with previous experience in a variety of agricultural or construction equipment. He must have at least an N3 mechanical diploma. A current driver’s licence is required and a Forklift and Code 14 licence would be looked upon favourably, however it is not essential.

The applicant must speak fluently Afrikaans and English.
