Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Accountant to manage day-to-day financial activities across multiple corporate entities in different territories. This role supports financial control and administration for an expanding international operation, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and purchase orders for the South African entity.
  • Manage fixed assets, stock reconciliations, and VAT submissions.
  • Handle monthly financial reporting for entities in South Africa, the US, and the UK.
  • Transfer Pricing:
  • Implement and maintain transfer pricing protocols across related entities.
  • Track shared services and calculate recharges.
  • Outsourced Partner Management:
  • Oversee outsourced bookkeeping for US operations and in-house bookkeeping for the UK.
  • Support debt collection, inventory management, and trade finance reporting.
  • Audit and Budgeting:
  • Prepare for audits and contribute to budgeting for all entities.
  • Consolidate accounts for international reporting.
  • Ad Hoc Financial Tasks:
  • Handle various financial administration requests and assist with corporate governance.

Key Skills:

  • Proficiency in accounting practices, principles, and standards (IFRS, VAT, tax requirements).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple third-party and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a medium-sized enterprise (SME).
  • Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and inter-company transfers.
  • Familiarity with the Companies Act and financial regulations in international jurisdictions.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant Finance Degree or Diploma.
