Our Client is looking for a Mine Manager to join their team based in Manica, Mozambique.
Salary: Negotiable
Responsibilities:
- Plan, oversee, and coordinate all mining activities to achieve production targets.
- Ensure the efficient use of resources, including equipment, labor, and materials.
- Oversee the extraction and processing of ore while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Implement and promote a strong safety culture across the mine.
- Conduct regular safety drills and ensure emergency preparedness.
- Lead, train, and manage mining and support teams, including engineers, supervisors, and technical staff.
- Assign duties, evaluate performance, and handle employee grievances.
- Promote professional development and training of staff.
- Prepare and manage the mine’s budget, including cost control and financial forecasting.
- Analyze and manage financial reports to ensure profitability.
- Seek ways to optimize operational costs while maintaining production levels.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, and local communities.
- Address concerns and maintain positive relationships with the local community and government bodies.
- Ensure the mine's activities positively impact the surrounding areas.

- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, ideally in gold mining.
