Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Packaging Manager to oversee daily packaging operations, ensure compliance with quality standards, and optimize production efficiency. This role is essential to maintaining high-quality standards and achieving operational goals in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan daily, weekly, and monthly filling and packaging activities based on schedules from the planning department.
  • Analyze resources and allocate them to meet production requirements and lead times.
  • Monitor daily progress using production plans and visual inspections.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards in line with SOPs and signed-off standards.
  • Identify and implement improvements in production priorities and processes.
  • Analyze yield variances and take corrective actions to reduce losses.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Control and monitor WIP stock and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Manage waste by identifying, segregating, minimizing, and recording it.
  • Submit monthly reports on quality, delivery, and team morale.
  • Conduct internal audits and resolve action requests (ARs).
  • Draft, review, and monitor SOPs as required.
  • Conduct risk assessments and address potential risks in processes and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate employees, ensuring they meet skill and competency standards.
  • Manage employee performance, conduct appraisals, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Lead and motivate employees to maintain a stable and productive workforce.

  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Labor Laws, and ISO Quality Systems.
  • Proficient in computer applications and production management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 10 years of experience in production management, preferably in Cosmetics, Pharma, or FMCG industries with GMP experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving production targets and optimizing production efficiencies.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Operations Management or a related field.
