Our client is looking for a self-driven and experienced Crop Farm Manager to oversee daily operations and drive agricultural excellence in Zambia.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of crop production, including seed maize, seed bean, wheat, and soya.
- Supervise and coordinate large teams, including full-time staff and casual laborers.
- Plan and execute crop timelines and pre-planned programs to ensure optimal production.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain planting, spreading, and spraying equipment.
- Manage center pivot irrigation systems to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Utilize GPS and precision farming technologies for navigation and crop monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with agricultural equipment.
- Implement and maintain safety and quality standards across all operations.
Key Skills
- Proven expertise in crop management, particularly with seed crops.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for setting up and maintaining agricultural equipment.
- Proficiency with center pivot irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of GPS and precision farming tools.
- Basic computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel.
