We are looking for a confident, detail driven and highly professional Hotel Financial Controller with strong hotel experience, excellent technical abilities and an in depth understanding of hotel systems including Opera PMS. You will play a critical role in supporting the Executive Team, ensuring that our financial operations are robust, compliant and aligned to the highest hospitality standards.

What We Are Looking For

• Matric Grade 12
• Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent completed
• Minimum 3 years financial experience in a four or five star hotel environment essential
• Strong working experience with Opera PMS non negotiable
• Experience with additional hospitality systems including Micros, revenue systems and accounting platforms
• Proven background in high volume hotel finance operations
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional accuracy, numeric discipline and data integrity
• Ability to work under pressure and within structured monthly deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and professional conduct

What You Will Do

• Oversee full hotel accounts payable and receivable processes including reconciliations and collections
• Manage daily cash book entries and ensure accurate balancing against bank statements
• Record, classify and reconcile all financial transactions in alignment with IFRS for SMEs
• Maintain full balance sheet integrity ensuring accurate valuation of hotel assets and liabilities
• Prepare, review and distribute monthly management accounts with all supporting schedules
• Analyse hotel performance, identify cost saving opportunities and support operational improvements
• Ensure compliance with financial legislation and maintain strong internal controls
• Support enhancements to financial systems and workflows with a focus on hotel operational efficiency
• Prepare and submit VAT, tax and other statutory returns accurately and within deadlines
• Assist with hotel budgets, forecasts and cash flow reporting
• Collaborate closely with auditors, department heads and external partners
• Lead, mentor and support the finance team with a culture of excellence
