Our client is seeking a Registered Staff Nurse to join their team based in Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing a patient for theatre.

• Scrubbing in theatre.

• Floor nurse in theatre.

• Ensuring all theatres, scrubs, drapes & instruments are sterile and prepared for surgery.

• Ensuring the sluice room and clean store are kept in order.

• Administrative and record keeping.

• Drug register.

• Patient dressings and wound care.

• If not busy in theatre, assist with clinical work in the front office section.

Skills:

• Exhibits strong communication skills, compassion, and empathy towards patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Holds an active and valid nursing license and must be fully registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).

• Possesses relevant experience in a similar healthcare setting, preferably in theatre.

• Demonstrates excellent clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Displays a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current best practices in nursing.
