Requirements:

• Electronic and IT knowledge or experience

• Electro-mechanical Trade Test (e.g. Millwright) or equivalent

• PLC and programming experience will be advantageous

• Technical experience with industrial electricity and IT

• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)

• Valid driver’s licence and valid/renewable passport

• Willing to travel (mostly within South Africa; international travel occasionally required)

Responsibilities:

• Install, train, and commission new machinery from start to finish, focusing on:

  • IT: Wiring connections

  • Electronics: Setup, testing, and training

• Reduce minor stoppages and operational downtime by providing after-sales service:

  • Electronic & IT assistance (software, hardware, OS)

  • Electrical repairs

• Assist packhouses with machine adjustments for sorting various fruits and vegetables:

  • Citrus, Avocado, Tomato, Blueberry, Cherry Apple, Stone Fruits, Mango, etc.

• Handle and follow up on customer queries and complaints; provide detailed feedback to improve technical solutions

• Promote a "learn from experience" culture by sharing and reapplying technical knowledge within the team

Remuneration: Negotiable based on experience
