Our client is looking for a Group Management Accountant to provide strategic financial support, oversee financial planning, and manage financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, experience managing large teams, and expertise in financial reporting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial planning support to operations and senior management.
  • Oversee budget preparation, forecasting, and expenditure control.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage reconciliations between accounting systems and unit reports.
  • Resolve variances and ensure monthly general ledger reconciliations meet required standards.
  • Oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Assist with audit processes, including financial and BEE audits.
  • Ensure proper asset management, contract administration, and financial record-keeping.
  • Manage the debtors’ book to ensure collections and minimize financial risk.
  • Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and policies.
  • Drive financial innovation and technology integration.
  • Lead and manage a team including payroll, credit control, and financial analysts.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and succession planning for key roles.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high levels of service and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • CA(SA), CIMA, BCompt, or BCom Accounting degree.
  • SAIPA or SAICA registration preferred.
