Our client is looking for a Tour Guide to provide engaging and educational tours, creating memorable experiences for visitors while promoting awareness of animal welfare and conservation. The ideal candidate will have experience in guiding, visitor services, and environmental education, along with a passion for wildlife and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive and informative tours to educate visitors about the site’s mission, wildlife, and conservation efforts.
- Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs and activities.
- Support special events, exhibitions, and workshops related to animal welfare and conservation.
- Ensure a high-quality visitor experience by providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain health and safety standards for visitors, animals, and staff during tours and events.
- Serve as an ambassador for the organization, promoting its vision and initiatives.
- Provide administrative support to the Education Team Manager in planning and executing educational activities.
Key Skills
- Strong communication and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of animal welfare, conservation, or ecotourism principles.
- Experience in visitor services and customer interaction.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments.
- First years’ experience in tour guiding or visitor engagement.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
- Willingness to relocate or commute reliably.
Qualifications
- Relevant educational background in tour guiding, environmental education, animal welfare, or related fields.
- FGASA and First Aid certification are advantageous.
- Valid Driver’s License (Code B or above) with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
