Our client is looking for dedicated and skilled Butcher Production Staff to join their meat processing team. This role involves the cutting, trimming, deboning, and preparation of meat products according to company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in meat handling and a strong commitment to hygiene, quality, and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut, trim, debone, and portion various types of meat (beef, pork, lamb, poultry) according to specifications.

  • Operate meat-processing equipment such as slicers, grinders, saws, and packaging machines.

  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hygiene, portion control, and food safety.

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area, tools, and equipment at all times.

  • Accurately weigh, label, and package meat products.

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, health & safety, and quality assurance standards.

  • Assist with loading/unloading meat products for cold storage or dispatch.

  • Monitor and report any quality or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.

  • Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and reduce product waste.


Requirements:

  • Prior experience in butchery, meat processing, or food production is preferred.

  • Ability to use knives and meat-processing tools safely and effectively.

  • Understanding of hygiene and food safety regulations (HACCP certification is a plus).

  • Physically fit – able to lift heavy items, stand for long hours, and work in cold environments.

  • High attention to detail and focus on product quality.

  • Team player with good communication and time management skills.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and shift work.
