The Group Impact Director is responsible for designing, leading, and measuring andBeyond’s Group Impact strategy across all regions and operations. The role ensures that impact is fully embedded into the business model, operational delivery, culture, guest experience and brand positioning of andBeyond.
The Impact Director provides strategic leadership across environmental, conservation, community and ESG initiatives by developing frameworks, standards, governance systems and reporting structures that support measurable, credible and commercially sustainable impact outcomes.
Working across the executive team and in strategic partnership with Wild Impact, the Group Impact Director drives alignment between purpose and performance, ensuring that impact delivery contributes meaningfully to conservation outcomes, community empowerment, stakeholder trust, guest value and long-term business sustainability.
This is primarily a strategic leadership and influencing role, requiring exceptional collaboration, systems thinking, stakeholder engagement and communication capability, while including selective operational oversight responsibilities.
CORE ROLE MANDATE:
The Impact Director is responsible for shaping, leading enabling and measuring andBeyond’s Group Impact strategy across all regions and operations. The role ensures that impact is embedded into the business model, operational delivery, guest experience and organisational culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and continuously refine andBeyond’s Group Impact strategy in alignment with long-term business objectives and conservation commitments
- Translate strategic impact ambitions into practical frameworks, standards and measurable delivery plans
- Ensure alignment between impact priorities, operational execution and commercial sustainability
- Support executive leadership in positioning andBeyond as a leader in sustainable experiential travel
- Contribute to strategic initiatives including ESG priorities, SI30 alignment and long-term sustainability commitments
Impact Framework & Governance
- Design and maintain Group-wide impact frameworks, methodologies and governance systems
- Establish clear KPIs, metrics and reporting structures for conservation, community and ESG performance
- Develop implementation toolkits and standards for use across all regions and properties
- Ensure consistency and integrity of impact data collection and reporting
- Oversee governance and strategic allocation of impact-related funding and levies
- Ensure compliance with internal governance requirements and external ESG expectations
ESG, Data & Reporting
- Provide strategic oversight of ESG and IBSC reporting systems and outputs.
- Ensure reporting credibility, audit readiness and data integrity across all reporting processes
- Work closely with Data Scientists, Group Data Management and regional teams to improve data quality and reporting capability
- Produce executive-level impact reporting and strategic insights and performance analysis
- Monitor progress against Group impact goals and identify corrective actions where necessary
- Ensure impact performance is measurable and transparent and effectively communicated internally and externally
Operational Enablement
- Drive the adoption and embedding of group impact standards across operation and regional teams.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to ensure effective implementation and accountability against Group impact priorities
- Develop practical systems, guidance and tools that support execution and accountability
- Ensure impact principles are reflected in operational SOPs and guest experiences
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Lead strategic coordination with Wild Impact to ensure strategic alignment, accountability and effective program delivery
- Drive fundraising opportunities, donor engagement strategies, and partnership development in support of impact priorities.
- Identify opportunities to increase guest donations and strengthen long-term donor relationships without compromising the guest experience.
- Represent andBeyond in industry forums, stakeholder engagements and impact collaborations
- Strengthen relationships with regional communities, conservation partners and regulatory stakeholders in partnership with regional and Wild Impact leadership where appropriate.
Brand, Culture & Communication
- Drive and strengthen communication of andbeyonds impact vision, priorities and achievements internally and externally.
- Collaberate closely with Marketing to ensure impact storytelling remains authentic, measurable and aligned to delivery
- Build organisational awareness and understanding of impact priorities across the business
- Embed impact thinking into leadership behaviours, culture and employee engagement
- Ensure impact positioning supports brand differentiation, credibility and stakeholder trust.
Financial & Funding Oversight
- Provide strategic oversight on the use and governance of the Group Impact Levy
- Support budgeting and prioritization of impact investments
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure strong governance and sustainability of impact initiatives
- Identify and support fundraising opportunities aligned with strategic impact priorities

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Conservation, Development Studies, ESG, Business, Tourism or related field
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in sustainability, ESG, conservation, impact management or related leadership roles
- Experience operating across multi-country or regional business environments
- Proven experience developing impact strategies, ESG frameworks and reporting systems
- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership management experience
- Experience working with executive leadership teams
- Strong understanding of governance, measurement and reporting systems
Preferred
- Experience within conservation, hospitality, tourism or community development sectors
