At The Vineyard Hotel, we're more than just a team. Every staff member plays a crucial role in creating an exceptional guest experience. Our commitment to our staff goes beyond hospitality. We prioritise their well-being, providing on-demand healthcare, wellness activities, assistance with essentials, and healthy meals.

Our care for our staff and our dedication to social and environmental responsibility sets us apart. Join our community that values respect, care, and growth.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all conferencing and events spaces are clean, well-maintained, and set up according to operational requirements, contributing to an exceptional guest experience and upholding the image of the company.

As our Conferencing & Events House Attendant, you will assist with the setup and breakdown of conference and event venues, including moving furniture and equipment as required. You will ensure that all event spaces, meeting rooms, and public areas are cleaned, sanitised, and presented to the highest standards at all times.

Your role will include maintaining the cleanliness of back-of-house areas, storerooms, and service passages related to conferencing and events operations, as well as supporting the events team in ensuring that room layouts are correctly executed according to function sheets and event requirements. You will also conduct routine deep cleaning of equipment and facilities and respond promptly to guest and operational requests to ensure the smooth running of events.

Along with a Matric certificate (advantageous), you have previous experience in a similar role within hospitality or events. You are physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting and moving furniture. Your ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays will set you apart.

You have strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, and demonstrate a “can-do” attitude with the ability to work independently and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain high standards under pressure.
