CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

The purpose of this post is to provide secretarial, administrative and office support to the Department of Mathematics. The position serves as a central point of contact between the Department of Mathematics, faculty/departmental staff and other constituents with whom the faculty/department interacts.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
•Provide Secretarial support and high level administrative support.
•Manages the office of the Head of Department.
•Document and Information Management.
•Financial Administration and assisting with budget monitoring.
•Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders.
•Arranging departmental functions and meetings.
•Assist with academic administration.

REQUIREMENTS
•Minimum Grade 12 school education. A Diploma in Office Administration, or similar relevant post-school qualification, will be advantageous.
•At least 6 years work related experience in a higher education environment in which competency has been gained.
