A leading textile manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Industrial Engineer to optimise production processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong problem-solving skills, technical insight, and a passion for driving lean, efficient manufacturing operations.


Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Optimisation

  • Analyse current manufacturing workflows, material flow, and equipment utilisation to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.

  • Develop and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve throughput.

  • Conduct time-and-motion studies, line balancing, and productivity assessments.

Production Planning & Efficiency

  • Evaluate production requirements and create optimised manufacturing layouts and work methods.

  • Support capacity planning initiatives and assist with forecasting labour and equipment needs.

  • Monitor production metrics and recommend improvements for consistent performance.

Quality & Compliance

  • Collaborate with the Quality Department to ensure processes adhere to quality standards.

  • Identify root causes of defects or variances and propose corrective actions.

  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for improved consistency.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use statistical tools and engineering principles to evaluate production data and identify trends.

  • Prepare reports and present findings to management teams.

  • Track KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction.

Continuous Improvement Projects

  • Lead or support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other CI initiatives.

  • Work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to implement long-term efficiency strategies.

  • Facilitate training and support the adoption of best practices.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent.

  • 2–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (textile experience advantageous).

  • Strong analytical skills with experience in process analysis, workflow design, and productivity optimisation.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and production analysis tools; knowledge of CAD is beneficial.

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and attention to detail.
