Purpose of Role

• Responsible for the safe and efficient supervision, coordination, and execution of all project-related activities at the Refinery. The role ensures that all work is carried out according to plan, specification, and budget, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Top Accountabilities (Top 6) SKILLS:

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage and oversee teams of artisans, contractors, and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company policies.
• Interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for project execution.
• Allocate and control labour, materials, and equipment efficiently.
• Monitor and report on project progress, costs, and quality to the Project Manager.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed work.
• Resolve on-site technical or operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor junior staff to build technical and leadership capability within the team.
• Maintain accurate project records, including progress reports, time sheets, and resource usage.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Matric/ N3, passed recognised apprenticeship and Trade Test in Fitting
• Recognised Trade Test qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Foreman in engineering or project-based environments.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and implement project plans.
• Experience working in a unionised or industrial environment will be advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and project management systems.
