Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data & SQL Analyst to join our dynamic team in Southern Africa. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data using SQL and other tools to provide insights and support decision-making processes within the engineering and mining industries. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining databases, data systems, and data analytics tools to optimise data quality and ensure secure data storage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, database management, and SQL programming, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyse and interpret data using SQL and other tools to provide insights and support decision-making processes within the engineering and mining industries.
  • Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data analytics tools to optimise data quality and ensure secure data storage.
  • Create reports and dashboards to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements through data analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practises in data analysis and data management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, database management, and SQL programming.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, database management, and SQL programming.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of engineering and mining processes is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, or related field.
  • Certifications in SQL, data analysis, or related areas.

Working Conditions:
