Context / Scope:

Voermol Feeds is Tongaat Hulett’s Molasses and Bagasse-based Animal Feeds Operation, an Industry Leader with its range of Energy, Concentrates and Supplementary Feeds being the Cornerstone of its offerings to the Livestock Farming Community throughout South Africa. Voermol employs 400 people, including a Strong Marketing, Sales and Technical team.

Purpose of the Role:

Directs Voermol Feeds business by incorporating the Operations, Technical, Marketing, Sales and Distribution divisions in ensuring Alignment of Strategies to complement Tongaat Hulett Sugar SA long term Vision, Mission and goals; Management of Key Governance, Fiscal, Statutory and Regulatory Requirements; Overseeing and Controlling the Performance, Critical Interventions and Execution of Management Oversight and Leadership Responsibilities in Ensuring Objectives and Acceptable Results across the Functional areas of the Business are Achieved; Leading Engagements in Key Meetings and reporting to the Executive Committee/ Managing Director on the Overall Business Strategy, Performance and the Short, Medium and Long Term Business Outlook.

Experience & Behavioural Competencies Required: 

• Bachelor of Engineering, Business Administration or Commercial Degree or Relevant Equivalent Tertiary Qualification.  
• Experience Associated with the Animal Feeds Industry is Preferable but not Essential
• Computer Skills/Literacy in MS Office Suite and a Specialised Accounting Software Packages.
• Proficient with SAP system
