Our client is seeking a Lab Assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare R&D and customer samples

• Validate measuring equipment

• Perform basic routine analysis

• Ensure that equipment and workspace is clean and tidy

• At all times to work safely to the business standards

• At all times to maintain clean and tidy personal work area (work bench and cupboards)

• Assist the chemists in their daily function as required – specifically assisting in sample mixes and testing

• Prepare samples required by customers and sales team

• Ensure availability of fresh stock material

• Ensure that raw material store is maintained – all samples numbered and with expiry date

• Validation of lab measuring equipment and maintenance of records

• Assist Production with running of lab production scale trial batches

• Assist in Quality Assurance as and when required

• Keep the lab clean and tidy by cleaning general work areas i.e. sinks, equipment, work benches, bins, etc

Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)

• Technical diploma in chemistry / analytical chemistry / chemical engineering

• No experience needed. Can be a graduate
