We are seeking a Perishable Procurement Specialist to oversee the procurement process for our client's perishable goods. Requires experience in imports via air and sea freight. Based in Seychelles, this role demands expertise in procurement and supply chain management within warehousing and distribution, particularly in handling FMCG and perishable goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Procuring goods at competitive prices for the Seychelles market, both locally and internationally (Europe).

  • Collaborating closely with Business Development Managers to ensure accurate pricing for new goods.

  • Managing stock turnover rates and minimum stock on hand quantities.

  • Forecasting product demands and lead times.

  • Problem-solving and claims resolution.

  • Providing local market insights both HORECA and retail.

  • Managing the purchasing team.

  • Calculating pricing for all products.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in importation via air freight.

  • International work experience.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Mathematically strong.

  • Familiarity with exclusivity, pricing, value chain, and claims processes.

  • Working proficiency in Syspro and Qlik Sense.

  • Team management experience

  • Skilled in navigating high work volumes effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Matric 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Accounting.

  • 5 years of experience as a Procurement Manager in FMCG or perishable goods.

  • 5 years of supply chain management experience.

  • Expertise in perishable products and supply chain management.

  • Previous experience working with hotel groups in the Indian Ocean Islands would be preferable.

  • Valid passport / drivers license
